Today's cheesy posting title has two meanings. First, we got some snow, sleet and freezing rain last night, and what started as a 2-hour delay ended up being a full blown snow day for the kids (and Meghan). So my schedule was a bit messed up today, and my workout was after lunch. But the other meaning is, I didn't take any breaks during the workout. No pausing the DVD. That's a first!
Today was Plyometric Cardio Circuit, the same workout I did with Meghan last Saturday. I love the first half and despise the second half. The constant up, down, push-ups, planks, up, down, push-ups, running while in a plank. Ugh. It's thoroughly exhausting. I burned 740 calories.
My back was really sore yesterday after my workout. After several hours of an electric heat pad, I felt 100% better. When I woke up this morning, it wasn't sore at all. I made it through the workout without any soreness either. So I'll keep applying the heat pad to keep my back loose, and will do some extra back stretches once it's warm. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I continue to think it's just sore back muscles, not any kind of injury. There is no sharp pain at all. I'm just using muscles I've rarely (if ever) used, so I would expect some soreness to be normal.
I'm being very careful with my diet. I had a delicious panini and salad for lunch, and it's turkey tacos for dinner. We bought one of those as-seen-on-TV tortilla bowl makers. You take a soft taco shell or simple wrap, push it into a shaped non-stick pan, bake it in the oven, and voila! A taco salad bowl that isn't fried.
Finally, I'll say that I'm in the double digits. Day 10. Only 53 to go. Woo hoo!
I couldn't find the index cards to write "day 10" on it, so you'll just have to trust me. ;-)
UPDATE: 8:00pm ET. We used the tortilla pan. It didn't really work. The edges were crispy but the bottom was soft. Perhaps we need to bake it a little longer.
