Insanity Day 13: Happy Two Week Eve!

Tomorrow will technically be the two week point into Insanity, but since it's a day off, I'm really there now. Today was the first day for a double workout. Yes. TWO Insanity workouts back to back. Yes, that's part of the program. And it's mean. Just plain mean!

Meghan joined me like she did last Saturday, and together we battled through both Pure Cardio, then Cardio Abs. Pure Cardio is 40 minutes of straight, super intense cardio. No breaks, not even 30 seconds (although I'll admit I had to take a couple). Once finished with Pure Cardio, we took a 5 minute break and hit Cardio Abs for the first time ever. It was 16 minutes of brutal ab work, but no crunches and no sit-ups. Most of the workout consisted of being on the floor in a "C" position, which is basically sitting with a curled back and bent knees, leaning back just before the point you tip backwards. Then you do all these things with your hands and arms that I'm convinced are only to distract you from the constant ab workout. It was crazy hard. But after just about a straight hour of working out, I feel great. I forgot to wear my heart monitor watch, but I'm guessing I exceeded 900 calories.

Time to enjoy the weekend and a day off tomorrow.

Day 13 complete. 50 to go! By the way, I weighed myself this morning. Down 12 pounds. Woo hoo!

And if you're wondering why I don't look too sweaty, it's because my shirt was soaked almost completely through. I continue to be the sweat champion. Yay me.
